Par-formance, The Golf Score Journal
Great tool for keeping track of your shots and analyzing where you need to focus your effort to improve the most. Also, very useful club index in the back that helps keep track of the range of each of your clubs. This, plus a GPS, make golf a whole lot easier.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loved it! It allows him to really accurately compare each round of golf and how he is improving. It’s very detailed and it’s small size allows you to take it with you to the golf course. I’d say it’s a great, fun gift for you or a golf lover in your life.

If you think your memory serves you well on the courses you play regularly, you’re in for a surprise. When I first saw a friend of mine using one of these I kidded him about getting old and losing his memory. He told me a pro recommended it for “fine-tuning” your club selection and that it had taken a couple of strokes off his game on the courses he played regularly (when you’re a low-handicapper like him you’re looking for all kinds of edges). I wasn’t convinced, but for less than $10 I also didn’t think I had anything to lose. Now I wish I had picked one up a long time ago – I’m going to need another one soon, because I fill it out religiously and even keep a photocopy in the office in case I lose it or my bag gets stolen. It’s like having a caddy that has seen every shot you’ve ever made on every hole standing with you as you look at the bag and start thinking how you’re going to swing the club. Sure, there are guys who look at me like I’m waaayyy tooooo serious about the game when I pull it out, but if the game’s close, tough. It also proves how selective your memory can be if you play a lot. A couple of times I’ve argued with myself about what’s in the book versus what my gut tells me I ought to do. But if I’m standing in a sort-of familiar spot and 60% of the time I’ve made the green in two by using a 5 iron and 40% of the time I didn’t because I used more stroke on a 7, well, you figure it out. It’s not always dramatic, but statistics don’t often lie if you’re honest about what you put down. I also used it to have a pro help me with some trouble-spots, shots that I sort-of knew I needed to learn how to make. They showed up in the numbers after a few weeks. He could tell I was struggling in a few positions on a couple of holes – I was trying too many different clubs and strokes to get over hazards. Now if we can just get this in a PDA somehow!
